Complete set of five artist posters/announcements/prints.
Daniel Buren had 5 exhibitions at the Wide White Space Gallery, Antwerp, Belgium: 1969, 1971, 1972, 1973, 1974. For each show, he used the same paper with colored stripes glued to the exterior wall of the gallery. That same paper printed with stripes was used for the poster / announcement, with stripes one the front side and on the back, the name and address of the gallery and the text of the invitation, the text of the previous one(s) being crossed out. For each show, only the color of the stripes changed: 1) 1969: Green; 2) 1971: Red; 3) 1972: Yellow; 4) 1973: Blue; 5) 1974: Brown. Each folded in 4. Unfolded: 52.1x76.8 cm. Offset lithograph. Each one is in fact a part of the Buren's original work, an original work in its own.

- Art-Rite #14, 1976, p. 48: "At the other end of the scale of signed and numbered editions which could be listed as books is Buren's Passages. It is seven large bound volumes in a slipcase, all beautifully made. Each volume is a different color and the first page of each has been printed, or passed through the press once. The second pages have been passed through twice, and so forth, until at the end of the volume, the color saturation on the stripes is quite intense. At the start of the book the colors are extremely weak - barely distinguishable from the white of the page between the stripes. In a completely different spirit, this is a work which has been worked out very thoughtfully and with great finesse".
