B/w offset photo on the upper part, covered with a sheet of translucent
tracing paper, text printed in black and red on the lower part,
on one side. On the lower part, a calendar is mounted, stopped
at the day of the show (10 Tableaux) opening date: "13 Octobre".
The photo is covered with a leaf of transplucent tracing paper,
hold on the white card sheet with a red plastic cilp fixed on
the top.

This copy is not only signed with the E.K.'s finger print as
usual but also bears the full name signature and date in black
pencil by E. Kienholz on the lower right corner of the tracing
paper leaf.

Acquired from the Wide White Space Gallery, during the show "Edward
Kienholz, Watercolours", May 1970, Antwerp, 1970, by a private
collector, France: it comes with a letter from the gallery's
owner A. De Decker, and an invitation card for the show.

Unique piece.
Large brown paper envelope (40.3 x 28 cm), with, on the front, a xerox
copy of the upper text, title, with added original blue painting,
red pastel framing of a the word "only", and Kienholz's
xeroxed signature with original finger print on it. On the back
side, three typical Fluxus rubber stamps and original handwriting
by E.K.
Sealed with two red wax seals with the "EK" initials.
Inside the envelope, 10 loose elements: 1: a piece of rough carboard
cut in an identified shape, 11.2 x 29.8 cm; 2 & 3: two pieces
of tissue paper, one yellow, approx. 18 x 13.5 cm; the other one,
pink, approx. 13 x 13 cm, both slightly crimpled; 4: a piece of white
paper, made of two, mounted together with scotch tape, with handwritten
text in English on one side only; 5: an original black and white
photo crossed out in black felt pencil, 18 x 24 cm, showing Kienholz
molding G. Brownston's trunk with plaster; 6: a contact plate
of b/w photos by Nancy Reddin (rubber stamp on the back); 7:
an original drawing in colors on the back of a sheet of the Schlosshotel
Gehrhus stationery, 21 x 29.7 cm; 8: printed on one side, a sheet
of white paper made of two pieces mounted together with scotch
tape, with typed text in English and many handwritten corrections,
29 x 21 cm; 9: printed in black offset on one side, a page of one
of his catalogues, with text in English and handwritten additions
in German by E.K. in blue and red ink, 29.7 x 18.5 cm; 10: a page
of one of his catalogues, with, on one side, 4 offset b/w photos
showing E.K. molding someone and, on the other side, trilingual
German-English-French text at the end of whcih is announced the
coming Art Shwow at Pompidou.
Created for the show "La Boutique Aberrante":
Daniel Spoerri was proposed by the Centre Pompidou head director,
Pontus Hulten, to organize an exhibition, the "Musée
Sentimental" to be held in 1977. Together with this exhibition
and in counterpoint to it, Daniel Spoerri organized another show:
"La Boutique Aberrante", the Aberrant Shop. It took
place at the Centre National d'art et de culture Georges Pompidou,
Musée national d'art moderne, Paris, June 1st - August
31, 1977.
