Full margins, including the strip along both vertical edges with, prined black, installation instructions, "Roy Lichtenstien" and "1968 by Bert Stern for On First Press Inc.".

"The wallpaper was printed/fabricated commercially for sale in Bert Stern's On 1st store, which operated for approximately 1 1/2 to 2 years (from about 1968 to 1970) on First Avenue in New York. On 1st was part gallery, part sales shop, where everyday objects such as these, designed by contemporary artists, were available for purchase. Wrapping Paper (cat. no. III.44) and Paper Plate (cat. no. III.45) were also designed for On 1st.

Unbound inside a paper cover under a red cloth folder inside a blue cloth slipcase. Book: 49,7x37.4 cm. Etchings: paper: 35.4x48 cm; images: 28x37.7 (or 37.7x28) cm. Editions du Solstice, Paris, 1992. Issued in a total edition of 125 (80 for subscribers+45 HC For Sale- for authors and collaborators) copies. This copy is one of the 80 nominal deluxe copies (#1-80) on Arches paper, numbered and signed by both author and artist in black pencil in the colophon page. Slipcase with a few water staining, folder, pages and prints in mint condition.
It comes with a separate SUITE of the 10 etchings at the same format, printed in an edition of only 42 copies on Japon nacre paper, each print dated, numbered and signed in black pencil in the lower margin by R. Lichtenstein. Mint condition.
A total of 20 (10+10) original signed prints (etching and aquatint) by Lichtenstein: 10 on Arches paper, numbered and initialed by the artist, in an edition of 80 and 10 on Japon nacre paper, dated, numbered and signed by the artist, in an edition of only 42 copies.
